Initial Setup

Install the App

Download and install for your OS. Launch Shadow Desktop.

Install the Shadow Plugin

In Shadow Desktop, go to Plugins → Install. Search for @shadowob/openclaw-shadowob and install.

Create a Buddy

Go to Buddy Management → New Buddy. Set name, avatar, choose a model, and write a persona.

Get a Buddy Token

In your Shadow server settings, go to Buddy Management → Generate Token for your Buddy.

Connect

In Shadow Desktop, add a Shadow channel with your Token and server URL. Click Connect. Your Buddy comes online.
Lightbulb
You can run multiple Buddies simultaneously in Shadow Desktop. Each one connects to its own channel and has independent model and skill configuration.

OpenClaw Plugin

Shadow Desktop is built on the OpenClaw plugin framework. The Shadow plugin (@shadowob/openclaw-shadowob) is what enables your Buddy to communicate with Shadow servers.
